Geboren wurde sie am 27. November 1901 in Deutschland und verstarb am 22. August 2003 in Muir Beach, Kalifornien, USA.<\/p>\n<p>Selver studierte in den 1920er Jahren P\u00e4dagogik, Psychologie und Philosophie in Frankfurt am Main. Sie entwickelte eine besondere Leidenschaft f\u00fcr die Zusammenh\u00e4nge zwischen K\u00f6rper und Geist und begann, sich intensiv mit verschiedenen Formen der K\u00f6rperarbeit und Bewusstseinsentwicklung zu besch\u00e4ftigen.<\/p>\n<p>In den 1930er Jahren emigrierte Selver aufgrund der politischen Situation in Deutschland in die Vereinigten Staaten. Dort setzte sie ihre Studien fort und vertiefte ihr Wissen \u00fcber die Verbindung von K\u00f6rper und Bewusstsein. Sie wurde zu einer bedeutenden Lehrerin und entwickelte ihre eigene Lehre, die als &#8222;Sensory Awareness&#8220; bekannt wurde.<\/p>\n<p>&#8222;Sensory Awareness&#8220; ist eine Praxis, die darauf abzielt, das Bewusstsein f\u00fcr die eigenen Sinne zu sch\u00e4rfen und eine tiefere Verbindung zum eigenen K\u00f6rper herzustellen. Durch einfache, aber kraftvolle \u00dcbungen und Achtsamkeitspraktiken half Selver ihren Sch\u00fclern (m\/w\/d), sich bewusster zu werden, Stress abzubauen und eine verbesserte K\u00f6rperwahrnehmung zu entwickeln.<\/p>\n<p>Charlotte Selver verfolgte keinen methodischen Ansatz. Stattdessen ermutigte sie ihre Sch\u00fcler (m\/w\/d) dazu, selbst zu erleben, wie sie sich im Umgang mit Menschen und Dingen &#8222;zweckm\u00e4\u00dfig&#8220; verhalten k\u00f6nnen, wie nat\u00fcrliche Bewegungen verlaufen und wie der Atem ungehindert flie\u00dfen kann. Der Kern ihrer Methode lag im &#8222;Erfahren durch die Sinne&#8220;. Selver war davon \u00fcberzeugt, dass das Wohlbefinden des Einzelnen, die Gesellschaft als Ganzes und die Sorge um unsere Umwelt davon abh\u00e4ngen, inwieweit wir ein neues Vertrauen in organische Prozesse entwickeln k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n<p>Sie \u00fcbte mit dieser Haltung einen entscheidenden Einfluss auf das \u201eHuman Potential Movement\u201c und die Humanistische Psychologie aus.<\/p>\n<p>Im Laufe ihrer Karriere unterrichtete Charlotte Selver zahlreiche Workshops und Seminare in den USA und Europa.<\/p>\n<p>Charlotte Selver war eine der bedeutenden Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten, die Wolf B\u00fcntig nach ZIST holte.
